Description
This posting is to simply bring attention to an offering for ACC Vancouver Section members to stay in the Haberl Hut the nights of Jul 18 19 20, 2025 with your climbing partner. In on the 18th, out on the 21st. This section open per person model instead of whole hut booking format is only for ACCV section members. Make sure your membership is up to date before going to the booking link below to book as your membership will be checked. Once you send in your booking form a request for e-transfer payment will be made. Do not send money before that.
This is a self lead small climbing groups format where you and your climbing partner/partners set your objectives. There is not a coordinator outside of you and your partners. You will be sharing the hut with other small groups. It is your responsibility to arrange your heli transportation, heli costs and all other logistics.
You must also sign up on this posting in the usual format. By doing this you will be able to see who else is booking in and perhaps coordinate between yourselves for joint things like heli.
Cost per person for the 3 night stay is $150 to be made by e-transfer to the email that will be provided once the booking is made. Do not send payment until you are requested to do and to which email address. This will happen once your send in your booking form.
Make sure you research the area and the types of mountaineering objectives so that it falls within your capabilities. You are your own judge.
Note: Once booked and paid for, there are no refunds. If for some reason your small group cannot go in you may offer your spot/spots to other ACCV section members who wish to take it and who you find and are are comfortable with the terrain. The exchange of money is between the two parties but you must communicate a change of names through your email booking reply. There is no moving to other open booking dates as this is the only open format so far for this season. This is a test to see if this is a popular format that might meet the needs of small groups but still meet the needs of running the huts.
Remember, as this is a mixed group, good hut etiquette is paramount allowing climbers to get a good sleep to be prepared for their mountain objectives.
Again this is open to all ACCV section members. It is a good opportunity for mentors and mentees.
Be sure to read all the materials from the link below until you reach the booking form.
