Become a Trip Organizer

Volunteering to run trips is an integral part of the club’s culture, so we want to both encourage and support everyone who is interested.

There are a few things you should know first though! Please read the guidelines for trip organizers, then complete the form below and we can fill you in. Amber McMinn is currently our volunteer hero that reviews applications, and will take anywhere from an hour to a few days to do so depending on her schedule. Please keep in mind that we’re are entirely volunteer run organization!

Presentations about how to organize trips can be found here:

Trip organizers must collect signed waiver forms after each trip and hand them to the club’s executive at a monthly social, volunteer meeting, AGM, or by mail:

Support for Trip Organizers

The club supports it’s trip organizers in various ways. One of which is in the form of financial grants for appropriate courses taken to improve your skills.

This allows active trip organizers to apply for reimbursement  of two-thirds of course fees such as first-aid or avalanche safety training. Please read the policy for more information.

Volunteer Application Form

Fill out the form below if you are interested in leading trips.  If you have any issues or need any support, please reach out to our volunteer Trip Recruitment Director Amber McMinn.

Our trip organizer workshops happen twice a year, and empower our volunteers with tools and resources to run great trips!

The guidelines are loaded with useful information!
