Description

This is steep hike with considerable elevation gain. However, car access is excellent. Coastal hike through mature old growth on a rooty and rocky trail. Nice views up the Ashlu and towards Ossa and the Northern Tantalus Range. Snow expected at higher elevations. Participants should be in good physical shape, ready for steep snow with appropriate footwear and an ice axe for snow travel on the upper ridge. Extra clothing and rain gear is required. We will meet in Squamish and carpool from there but Vancouver participants will be encouraged to carpool from the city.
