ACC Vancouver is participating in a workshop on “Preparedness for Winter trips” along with Fjallraven and POW (Protect our Winters) on Nov 16 at 6:30pm.

The workshop is to help educate those who are new to outdoor winter recreation such as winter hiking, winter camping, layering, winter safety and help them get into nature. POW will be giving a short presentation on their work.

Overview/Agenda:

•  light snacks/appetizers
• non-alcoholic drinks for purchase for $2. To be facilitated by the POW team
• Raffle tickets for Fjallraven and POW prize packs. $5 for 1 tickets, $20 for 5 tickets, and $50 for an arms length
• Discounted shopping on Fjallraven gear (20%) ACC Vancouver members and non member
• (proceeds going to POW Canada)
• 6:30 PM: Doors open
• 6:45 PM: ACCV/Fjallraven Presentation
• 7:15 PM: Intermission 10 min
• 7:25 PM: POW Presentation
• 7:35 PM: Questions
• 7:40 PM: Discounted shopping and last chance for raffle entries
• 8:10 PM: Raffle draw
• 8:30 PM: Event end and close

• Registration through POW Canada website, linked here, tickets are $15 per person with proceeds going to POW Canada

Parking can be found in the nearby streets or on top of the old MEC building across the street.
