Get your camera batteries charged and your fall hiking wool ready.  Let’s go and hike up Mount Frosty to the Larches and higher above if you so desire.

The hike to the sign post and back is 22km with 1200m of elevation gain.  It’s quite a haul with most of the elevation coming at you in the first 1/3rd of the hike.  But to reach the Larches is about a 16km return trip hike.  Recommend all persons bring headlamps, gloves, and a warm jacket and appropriate footware just in case.  I have hiked in the snow here in October so be prepared for anything.
