Please join us for three presentations on trips to get you thinking about the upcoming summer (and winter)! 

• David Thompson on self guided backcountry skiing in Japan, it’s easier than you think! The key when, where, how etc details to help you plan an amazing trip and why you should start planning soon. David Thomson has done 3 self-guided trips, 8 weeks in total, to Hokkaido and Hakuba in the past 7 years. NOW is the time to start planning if you want to go to Japan for the winter.
• Rob Szpak on Kananaskis how to get there, where to camp and what to, hike, climb and scramble! All the tips and tricks you need to know for a trip to the Rockies!
• Russ Fretenburg has a short presentation about a 3 day backpacking trip with friends Sept 2025 around the back side of Garibaldi Lake. Started at Brohm Ridge, traversed seldom visited areas to get up close with the Table, found a bushy route up to Polemonium Ridge and then exited out the more well-travelled Gential Ridge and Helm Creek trail.

As well, before and after we’ll have a social activity to brainstorm and share summer activity goals and maybe you’ll find that next best partner you’ve always been looking for!
