  • Attendee Screening: Attendees are Pre-Screened - The Trip Leader will review your background and contact you before accepting you on the trip. You will get a confirmation that your sign-up is pending right away.
    That doesn't mean that you are confirmed to go on the trip yet. If you are accepted, you should receive an email from the coordinator to confirm your sign-up and coordinate the trip's details.

Description

This is a 4 day, 3 night ski touring trip. The preferred location is the Duffy lake area with Lizzy Lake, Meadow Dome and Phelix Creek as alternates.

 

Please send an email to me describing your fit with the requirements below:

-AST1

-“Intermediate or better” touring experience

-Adequate fitness for up to 13km and 1500m of travel with an multiday pack on day 1 (This is for Lizzy Lake)

-Adequate fitness for at least 1200m of skiing on subsequent days

-Ability to ski Black runs off-piste in any conditions

-Ability to ski tight trees

-Winter Camping experience is an asset but not required

 

If you are a strong beginner feel free to contact me about your experience.

 

Due to Covid, be prepared to drive solo and sleep in your own tent (which adds weight and makes for colder nights).
