Description

We will hike to Heliotrope ridge trail in Mount Baker National Forest. Wild flowers are at their prime and we will walk to the foot of Coleman glacier.

We will not walk onto the glacier. Their will be time for photos.

Reports from this past week-end is that river crossing was easy.

The hike is 8.4km in length and 564 meters elevation gain.

Bring 10 essentials, poles, sun protection, bug repellent or bug net.

Ensure you have the proper documentation to cross the US border.

The hike is not super long, hwever planning to MEET at Chevron(3030 Boundary road) Vancouver at 520 am to LEAVE at 530 am and beat the long week-end crowds.

The trip is weather dependent and it looks promising so far.

I can take 3 people in my car. The only cost would be gas share.
