STRONG VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED! The purpose of this trip is to do a site inspection of the location for the first Spearhead hut. We will stake out the hut. We will also dig several metre-deep pits, so the geotechnical engineer can inspect the soil conditions and test the soil bearing capacity. So teams of people with strong arms are needed. On Friday, we’ll take the lift up Whistler and hike over the Musical Bumps to the Russet Lake area. We’ll work on Saturday and Sunday morning and then hike out Sunday afternoon. Some people may stay longer to meet with the engineers.
This trip will only happen if we get permission from BC Parks.
The trip will slide by one week, if the weather does not cooperate.
