Description

Hey Folks! This is rather last minute but I was thinking about
doing a little hike tomorrow and thought Elk Mountain and
Mount Thurston might be good to try. Since the high point is
1630m there may not be too much snow (though still expect
some hiking on snow). This route is pages 132 and 133 of the
103 Hikes Book 6th Edition. This is a hike, not a scramble.
Round trip 16.5 km, elevation gain 1030m – book says to allow
7 hours but I’d like to hike it faster than that. If I haven’t hiked
with you before, please send me an email outlining your
experience, including mountains you’ve climbed (recently and
