Meet at Boundary Chevron for 5:45am and plan to leave for 6:15am. We will stop in hope to sign waivers and discuss the avalanche bulletin and terrain choices. This trip is dependent on the avlanche forecast. Other touring options include Mt. Baker, Elfin Lake, and Duffy.

Plan to ski up Hollyburn to get first tracks

Meet in the parking lot of St. David’s Church at the Taylor Way exit of Hwy 1 at 6:30am. Carpool to the Duffey, Cayoosh Pass. Climb up Rohr Ridge. Depending on conditions Stellar Bowl may not be safe to ski and we may have to stay within treed areas, e.g., ski Rocky Horror Power Show.

The plan is to follow Joffre Lakes trail, pass the upper lake and go to the basin of Tszil. It is suitable for a beginner skier who is confident on blue runs and has done some easy back-country trips already (like Paul Ridge, Wendy Thomson hut area, etc. ) and has good fitness level. If […]
