Follow trail starting at Lightning Lake day-use area in Manning Park to reach the East Peak of Frosty Mountain. Head back down the same trail.

Carpool from downtown Vancouver. Explore Scheidel Ridge area. Trip may include one or more of the following: class 4 bushwacking, boring logging roads, sledder cabin hunts, and opportunies to view insides of clouds. There’s a circular set of tarns a bit further to the west that might be fun to look at.

Saturday: hike in to Opal Lake, set up camp, head up Chipmunk Mt, ramble along ridge if time allows Sunday: further explore area, hike out
