Description

Yak Peak

The primary object of this trip is to
spend the evening (after
sunset) viewing & photographing the Persid
Meteor Shower from the Summit of Yak peak.


After which, those who need to be at work on
Monday morning may descend together (about 3-4
am) for 2 1/2 hrs) & 2 hr drive home.

Others will descend shortly after dawn.

Headlamps a must,
bivi gear & sleeping bag recommended.
light non-cook dinner & libations suggested.

A steep, rough climbers’ trail scrambles
up to the col between Yak and Nak peaks
before following the NE ridge to it’s two
summits.
