Who’s up for a rainy day leg-stretcher? From
Horseshoe Bay, Eagle Bluffs is about 10km and
1000m elevation gain but depending on snow
levels I’ll probably make the boulder field the
turnaround spot.

My main aim for this hike is to confirm the
start/condition of the connector route to the
Sunset trail. The sparsely flagged route used
to veer off from the Baden Powell trail at about
550m, then roughly follow that line north for
2km to connect up with Sunset. So be prepared
for a little bit of off-trail exploring though
we won’t go very far along it this trip.

If anyone is up for trying out this connector
route at a later date, or has recent beta, let
me know!

I generally hike at the fast end of moderate,
but prefer folks to stick together, so depending
on the pace of the group, slower people may have
to speed up a little and faster people will need
to be able to keep themselves in check.
