Description

Snow skills training day, open to the members of the Mentorship program.

We’ll go over movement on steep snow, snow anchors, hauling systems, and self-arrest practice.

Required Gear:

Helmet, harness, picket, ice axe, crampons, mountaineering boots, locking and non-locking carabiners, 6-7 mm cord (or hollow block, or other variety for a prusik hitch), slings/runners, pulley(s). If you have Micro traxion, tibloc, or other progress-capture devices/ascenders, please, bring them.

Sunglasses and waterproof shell pants and jacket, headlight, and food/water for the day.

 

Meeting – 10 AM at Bean Around the World at Parkgate Village.
