Description
The plan is for a (literally) chill day cragging at Neat and Cool as the weekend forecast looks favorable. We’ll meet up at St David’s at 9 am, sort out car pooling, drive and be parked at Smoke Bluffs by 10 am. It’s a short walk to Neat and Cool. We’ll put up our ropes and climb through the morning into the afternoon with opportunities for trad lead and top rope. We’ll wrap up and be back in the parking lot by 4:30 pm.
Experience – grades at Neat and Cool span 5.6 to 5.12. I at least will be on beginner/intermediate routes. YMMV. I’d prefer climbers have a season or two climbing outside. When signing up please indicate years climbing experience, if you top rope or if you trad climb. To share in the workflow everyone should be competent belaying (top rope or lead).
Mandatory gear – helmet, harness, rock shoes, belay device and carabiner. Layers appropriate for the season. Snacks/lunch. Water/coffee/tea. 10 essentials.
Group gear – when signing up please indicate if you have rope and anchor.
