Please join us on March 22 for our monthly social. The social will be held in-person at Mahony’s Tavern at Stamps Landing in South False Creek. The doors will open at 6pm for dinner and the program will begin at 7pm.

Please register as early as possible, so we can tell Mahony’s how many people to expect. That helps them allocate serving staff.

There will be a maximum of 60 people and everyone must follow Mahony’s Covid19 protocols: Wear a mask on arrival and present your BC Vaccine Card (via mobile phone, tablet, or hard copy). If you are from out of Province you must show proof of double vaccination.  Masks are required moving through the room, but can be removed once seated. Everyone must remain at their table. Minimum mingling at this time.

For those who are not yet comfortable meeting in person, we will share the meeting via Zoom. Please sign up for the separate Zoom event on this calendar in order to receive the Zoom link.

The meeting will include a variety of announcements and updates on Vancouver Section activities, followed by a terrific slideshow.

Wayne Saunders and Erna Burda will present “Four Camps”. Wayne and Erna belong to both the Vancouver and Vancouver Island sections. Every summer, the Vancouver Island Section runs a mini-GMC (General Mountaineering Camp) at a new location. Wayne and Erna will share with us their experience attending four of those camps at: Meditation Mountain, Athelney Pass, Griswold Pass, and Rogers Pass. Their show will inspire us to start planning our summer holidays!
