Please join us at 7:00 pm on January 25 for our monthly social. Due to Omicron, the social will be via Zoom only. The Zoom link will be emailed out on January 25 to everyone who has registered.

The meeting will include a variety of announcements and updates on Vancouver Section activities, followed by an excellent slideshow.

Isabel Budke will present “Glaciers and Gemütlichkeit: Skiing the Haute Route, and other Adventures in the Alps“.   Isabel writes, “The Haute Route is one of the most well-known ski traverses in the world. While BC’s glacier traverses are wild and remote, this tour offers both an alpine challenge and a cultural experience, making our self-guided trip a fun adventure –including unforeseen events, mixed conditions, and international encounters. We also enjoyed European mountain culture and hospitality on other Alps outings, including climbing the Grosses Wiessbachhorn in Austria and via ferratas in the Dolomites.”
