Join us for our Annual General Meeting and Monthly Social on Monday, November 20, at the Floral Hall at VanDusen Botanical Garden (37^th Avenue at Oak Street).  The doors open at 6pm for socializing and the meeting starts at 7pm. Please come and bring a friend! Members and non-members are welcome!

Popcorn, gourmet cookies and Beverages: Enjoy popcorn and your choice of beverage (tea, pop, juice) while socializing and listening to the presentations.

Annual Reports from the Executive: Come find out what the executive has been doing this year on behalf of members. There will be a summary of events and activities, plus the annual financial report.

Feature Presentation by Mike Thompson and Marcus Dell- “Skiing the Sierra High Route”:   “Skiing the Sierra High Route”:  Mike and Marcus are two of the four individuals who made the long drive to California to ski the Sierra High Route from Onion Valley (Independence) to Mammoth. They will show us the spectacular route that took them over 17 passes in a span of 210 kilometers and nearly 10,700 meters elevation gain.

*UPDATED* Presentation by Rob Brusse- “Upcoming Hiking and Climbing Camp”: A few seasons ago, Rob Brusse, along with a prominent Vancouver Section member (and quarter-master) Rob Szpak, organized a spectacular hiking-and-climbing camp in Grand Teton National Park just outside of Jackson Hole Wyoming. As they plan a re-run of the camp in 2024, this presentation will give you a sneak-peak into what it has to offer!

Volunteer Draw Prizes: As a small way to say “thanks”, we’ll be giving away draw prizes to this year’s wonderful volunteers. These folks include trip organizers, course instructors, mentors, and slideshow presenters. NOTE: Volunteers must be present at the meeting to receive a prize, so please attend in person.
