    That doesn't mean that you are confirmed to go on the trip yet. If you are accepted, you should receive an email from the coordinator to confirm your sign-up and coordinate the trip's details.

Description

This event is for the previously vetted and selected Mentors for the 2026 Summer Mentoring Program. Please only sign up if you have already been accepted to the program as a mentor and have been paired with a mentee.

A weekend of training by ACMG Apline Guide Ian Welsted for the ACC Vancouver Section’s Summer Mentoring Program Mentors

Day 1: Rock Skills (Rock rescue, multi-pitch efficiency, etc.)

Day 2: Snow Skills: Efficient Glacier travel, Steep Snow Travel, Etc.

Day 1 & 2: Trip leading, trip planning and other soft skills will also be taught throughout both days of the weekend

We will follow up via email with further details regarding logistics such as where and when to meet, what gear is needed, etc.
