Intermediate ski tour – Cowboy ridge via Singing pass trail

December 11th 2022

Description

Skin up Singing Pass trail, do a lap on Cowboy Ridge (visibility permitting), descend Whistler Blackcomb via Musical Bumps.

Distance to the entrance of Symphony Bowl – 17 km, elevation gain – 1500m. Easy skiing, but biggish day. More of a fitness trip, although in good conditions Cowboy ridge is excellent skiing in early season.

Upper moderate pace (it is a long day), the participants should be committed to go over the musical bumps, as Singing Pass trail is not in good downhill conditions.

Headlamps are absolutely mandatory and likely to be used.

The usual gear for backcountry skiing and knowledge how to use it.
