This trip is a coastal classic, and I am looking for a few people interested to join me for three days on the northbound route over the Garibaldi Neve. The proposed itinerary covers Sat. to Monday, but we could switch to Friday-Sun if needed.

Saturday we setup cars on either side and camp around Elfin Lakes. I have one car and we need at least one more to do the shuttle. Sunday we head north over the Gargoyles and aim to camp anywhere from the Neve to Sentinel Bay, north ridge of Mt. Garibaldi being the target ideally. Monday we exit over Garibaldi lake. This is a very modest pace in good conditions and will leave ample opportunities for doing some skiing in the area if time and energy permit. Possible summit of Mt. Garibaldi on Sun or Mon. If conditions don’t hold up as we get closer we can modify the plan to stay around Elfin Lakes or pick another destination.

Prior experience preferred for winter camping and good fitness recommended. We will form rope teams for the crevassed areas so good to brush up on some basic mountaineering skills.

If we haven’t met yet, I have done this trip once before and led some other traverses around the region with ACC in years past, though I have a fresh profile on the new website. I have been out skiing a lot in this area and look forward to find some people interested in joining me for a few days out on this coastal classic!
