Description

We’re heading to Dennett Bluffs to do some dry tooling and prepare for ice climbing season!

This event will be cancelled if there is a wild amount of rain coming down, but if it’s only raining normally the trip will proceed.

Bring appropriate clothing and a thermos with something warm in it and enough food.

Note that exeptionally attentive and tight belaying is necessary to keep everyone safe while drytooling so if you don’t want to keep a tight rope please don’t sign up.

 

Required Equipment:

  • Helmet
  • Crampons
  • Ice tools (no adzes please)
  • Personal climbing gear (harness, belay device, etc.)
  • 2 ropes for 5 participants
  • top rope anchor material
  • rain gear
  • lunch
