Description

We are looking for a few instructors and leaders for the Introduction to Trad Climbing Course on May 10-11 2025

Please sign up, if you are willing to teach/shadow club members introductory trad climbing skills.

This two-day course introduces participants to lead climbing using gear for protection. The emphasis is on placing gear (camming devices, nuts, etc.) and evaluating placements. Participants will have the opportunity to practice gear placements on mock leads and have their placements evaluated by the instructors and other members of the group.

The event will take place in the Smoke Bluffs, 8 am to 4 pm, both Saturday and Sunday.

Expenses will be covered. Carpool will be organized separately.
