Description

Directions from Baldwins’ ‘Exploring the Coast Mountains on skis’.
Route is linear ascend & return along same track

Ski from the highway parking spot up the Falls Lake Rd for 1km
Take a right on to Pipline maintenance road that leads NE, then along a pipeline right of way up onto Zoa’s shoulder at 1500m

There may be time to do downhill laps along this stretch of mellow terrain on our return

At height of land head W into the woods and along the gradually opening Zoa ridge.

Zoa summit area offers ski worthy bowls and glades.

Care will have to be taken to ensure slope weather & avi conditions support safe & enjoyable descent options.

Return via same route.
Trip is open to newcomers to back country touring.
Some downhill skiing experience would be good.
Snowshoers welcome.
