A post-Christmas day-trip for intermediate or better tourers who would like to get some exercise and turns rather than battle the Boxing Day crowds. The Musical Bumps are the likely destination but others in the Whistler/ Blackcomb area are possible.
Other locations may include Gin Peak, Sproatt, or if conditions are poor, Paul Ridge.
Given that many people likely had a later night on the 25th, we wont go any further than Whistler.
All participants are expected to have AST1 equivalent or better, prior touring experience, adequate fitness for a full day of touring, the ability to ski blue runs of piste under any conditions and black runs of piste in good conditions.
If this trip is popular I would ask that another leader volunteer to help split the group.
Participants will be screened. If we have not skied together recently, or at all, please send me an email describing your experience.
This trip is not intended for beginners. However, if you are new to touring and want to attend, please signup for one of my beginner trips and we can meet before-hand.
Given how far out this trip is, I will likely not add anyone until mid-December.
The trip may be cancelled or relocated if conditions are not favourable.
