Day Trip Ski Touring to Whistler
Backcountry

Day trip for Whistler Backcountry. It looks good but the
Avalanche conditions for the region remain “considerable”
Which for this group means that we will be skiing
conservative
stuff. Low angle terrain and tree skiing. I’m going to set our
destination as the Flute / Oboe area of the Whistler
Backcountry and we will evaluate the possibility of skiing
Cowboy
Ridge depending on how stable the snow pack is and our
time.

The weather forecast looks like we will have some fairly
mixed conditions at all elevations so please ensure you
dress in layers that can be shed easily
