Description
This event is being re-posted after a date
change.
Unfortunately some vandals smashed in every window
in the Floral
Halls, so we’ve had to move our schedule forward
one
day. We’re now
being hosted on Monday 28th November in the Vistor
Centre Banquet
Hall. Sorry for the last minute notice, and hope
you can all still
make it!
November is here, and with it our most fantastic
event of the year!
This meeting is important for a myriad of
reasons..
1) Hearthstone Brewery Beer
Not quite sure what we’ll have, but they have
a Pilsner/Chocolate Milk Stout/IPA/Black
Lager and a Graham Cracker Ale, and they are all
amazing. Big thanks to ACC Member and Hearthsto
n
e Sales Manager, Mike Alderking for
organizing beer.
2) Member Recognition
Our AGM is the perfect time to reflect back on
the year, and all the amazing things
we’ve been able to accomplish, it’s also an
opportunity to say thank-you to our club
members, and let them know their contributions
didn’t go unnoticed. Anna, our amazing
secretary is compiling a list and needs your
nominations; please send them in asap –
somebody might even end up with a $25 gift-card
for it
3) Ice Cream Sundaes
Sundaes are cold, so that makes them mountain
themed, right? Massive thanks to ACC
member and Squamish strong-lady Valerie Williams
for both suggesting and organizing the
Sundae bar.
4) Presentations
Meet the leadership team, hear about what
we’ve been up to, and find out what’s in store
for 2017! It’s as dramatic as it sounds.
5) Elections
Volunteering is as much a part of the club as
the mountains themselves. Hear about
opportunities, and commit some of your free-time
to joining the most wonderful bunch of
people on their quest to make the
community great again. (small chance
we wont find that as funny in a few days..).
6) Guest Speakers
I’m not going to say who it is, but he might be
working on a new book and will be coming to
share some
bits from a future prologue about climbing in the
corridor.
7) Popcorn
We’re not even going to justify this one,
popcorn is just good stuff! Rob, (our past-
chair) managed to save us all from the horrible
reality of burnt popcorn last year,
hopefully he’ll take it on again this year too.
Right Rob? 🙂
Seriously, there is a lot going on.. and we want
you to be a part of it.
VanDusen Gardens (Visitors Centre Banquet Hall).
Doors open for food and drink at 6:30pm, and
formalities start at (roughly) 7:30pm.
Hope to see you all there!
