PLEASE READ
- This is Alpine practice – we climb
in boots (not rock shoes) and with backpacks. - The trip will only go if P.O.P. < 40% or
it will be cancelled. Last minute cancellations
are possible and do occur.
Itinerary
- Meetup, sign waivers, drive to the
location. - Finish off testing “extended” rappel method
– in free air (with tag line 7mm+8mm, sinlge
8mm, single emergency static 7mm) – descend,
stop, and resume, ascend rappel rope. - Set up top-rope (regular “sling” or/and
fixed) - Practice basic moves, ascend and descend,
face and crack, top-rope or fixed-rope self-
belay, YDS up to 5.6.
PREREQUISITES: Top-
rope belay training.
