Description

This will be a moderate-output trip to a beautiful, remote area.

We will be following the trail described in Matt Gunn’s Scrambles guide, with an overnight at Rohr Lake. It is described as ‘mellow’ (scramble-wise) but as with every trip this year, the high snowpack might change the route a bit. The elevation gain will be ~1km to the 2423m summit. The trail is not described as very steep, however, Saturday will be a long day.

Saturday: Drive to trailhead, set up camp at Lake Rohr, climb Mt Rohr.

Saturday evening: dinner (potluck?) in the camp & stargazing (weather permitting).

Sunday: lazy morning, swim in lake (weather/snowpack permitting) and head out.
