3rd Annual Mount Baker Lodge & Backcountry Tour-O-Rama

Join us for another fabulous weekend at the Seattle Mountaineers’ Mount Baker Lodge
The Lodge is a comfortable, rustic 1950’s volunteer-built facility sleeping 62 dormitory style. It is located within walking distance of the Mt Baker ski area. The dorm is separated into women’s, families, and men’s areas and each bunk is furnished with a mattress. Showers are available. The lodge is owned, maintained, and operated by volunteer Mountaineer Club members
.
Weekend at the Lodge Features
Meals…..Saturday and Sunday breakfast and Saturday dinner are included. Friday dinner and weekend lunches are not included There is a storage area for personal lunch supplies in the lodge. During ski season, you can buy lunches at Mt. Baker Ski Area
Chores…..Each person who comes to the lodge is expected to help with house-keeping tasks each day. They are simple (assist with dish washing, meal preparation, cleaning, snow removal, etc.) not time consuming, and typically won’t interfere with your activity schedule. In addition, each person washes his or her own dishes following each meal. A list of tasks are posted at the registration desk and everyone, including children, are expected to participate. It’s during times of sharing the work that people find they get to meet and enjoy the other guests at the lodge.
Registrants will be transferred from Mt Baker Lodge Event – Wait List to – Participant Status
upon receipt of payment for Weekend Lodge Fees (see “What to know about Costs” below) .

A variety of Day Trips are scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday suitable for Skiers, Boarders and Snowshoers and a range of skill sets. Those staying at the Lodge will receive Day Trip booking preference

Description

For those who can take Friday off….the plan is for to leave early Friday morning (6 am Chevron Boundary & Domimion) for a Day Trip to Lake Ann & back via Shuksan Arm…meeting balance of party @ the “Mountaineers” Lodge @ Mt Baker (Baker Ski Area) on Friday night.
Lodge provides 2 nights accom + breakfast + dinner + breakfast (for CAN $70 fee must be paid in advance to rob)
Please see iCal for various Day Trip connected to this event…..selection will inclued
Day Trip Saturday Shuksan Arm / Lake Ann depending on conditions.
Day Trip Sunday Table Mtn or Yo-yo ski depending on conditions…Snow shoe’rs welcome but should come with partners.
Drive home Sunday late afternoon.
