This Event has been postponed for 1 week pending assessment of the week’s precipitation & subsequent snow conditions. Right now there is not yet enough snow to make the traverse a safe & worthwhile venture.
The hoped for snow of last week became rain over much of the HSCT making skiing difficult and descent longer and more arduous than we’d like….
If conditions improve and permit……

We will start the day meeting at the carpool and driving to Lions
Bay to park one of the cars (2 cars are needed to shuttle). Drive
back the start of the trail at Cypress ski resort with 1 car.
Gates open @ 7 am so we’d like to be on the Trail by 7:30

Follow the How Sound Crest trail from Cypress via Unnecessary
Mountain to the ridge just before the Lions.

The last part of the way down could be thin snow…. so hiking part way down is likely. Bring a pair of trail runners or similar(& maybe even micro spikes) to make this part more
comfortable
