Description

The weekend forecast is looking wet & cold, so
a good time for a shorter day trip closer to
home!

About 12km round-trip, 1000m elevation gain,
say 7 hours. And not too far from town so you
can still have evening plans.

Plan is to leave downtown Vancouver by 8:30am
(or the Taylor Way Church at 8:45), park at
Porteau Rd, then hike up to Deeks Lake, return
same way.

People wanting to talk about overnight winter
trips are especially welcome!
