Description

Anderson River Peaks offers a variety of hiking, scrambling and mountaineering opportunities in a reasonably accessible yet not frequently visited area.
Plan is (for those who can leave town of Friday July 31 around 6 pm) drive to Anderson River Peaks & establish a base camp below Reh Peak. Others who can’t leave until Saturday morning (Aug 1) can drive to base camp…..(about 4 hours from Vancouver …Boundary and Canada Way). So if you leave by 6 am should be at camp by 10 am with enough time to climb either Reh or Gemse.
Possible day trip itineraries include…..
Day 1 (Saturday) Climb or Scramble Reh (low 5th or 3rd class routes& Gemse (mid 5th & 4th class slab routes) …..(& Serna…. hike).
Day 2 (Sunday ) Hike Gamuza ….Scramble, Steinbok 3rd/4th class route.
Day 3 (Monday) Hike Big Horn slabs Hike & Alpaca hike…..drive home.
The basecamp should be accessible by 2wd intent is to structure the camp so partipants can drop in for whatever number of days they like.

Description

The plan is to establish a base camp in the Anderson River peaks area (see google map) on thursday Sept 1st. From which day trips can go to a variety of Peak groups. Possible intineraries include……
Day 1 (Thurs) Hike Alpaca & Llama……
Day 2 (Fri) Scramble Ibex, Chamois & Anderson
Day 3 (Sat) Scramble Gemse & Reh (highcamp)
Day 4 (Sun) Hike Serna, & Gamese
Day 5 (Mon) drive home.
The basecamp will be accessible by 2wd and the intent is to structure the camp so that partipants can drop in for whatever number of days they like.
