AST 1 Plus Course
(Avalanche Safety Training for Skiers and
Boarders) Dec 16,19&20



With the new season getting into full
swing,
now is a great time to get the essential
training required for most back country
skiing
trips.



Canada West Mountain School has offered
ACC
discount for a group training of the AST1
Plus
Course (20 Hour Course)



The normal rate is $275 plus the Whistler
Backcountry pass ($56). As a group of 8
the
total will be $205 plus tax per person.



This course consists of a theory class on
the
evening of Wednesday Dec 16th at the
Canada
West school in North Van followed by

Day 1 of training on Mount seymour on Sat
Dec
19th

Day 2 of training on Whistler mountain on
Sun
Dec 20th



Please note the cost of the whistler lift
ticket ($56) is not included. Also
currently
there is insufficient snow on mount
seymour.
If this is still the case by Dec 19th
which is
rare, the first day of the course will
take
place on Whislter and another $56 lift
ticket
will be required



Payment is required to be confirmed on
this
training. If you need to cancel, a full
refund
will be made so long as we can replace
your
space on the training.

The group size will be 8 people with one
certified instructor from Canada West
Mountain
School..



Participants require
backcountry/slackcountry
skis and skins, splitboard with skins, or
snowboard and snowshoes. (only snowshoes
is
not an option).



The course is limited to 8 participants
and
those who pay the course fees first get
in.
