2 days backpacking. First day camp by Galene Lakes (if we have enough time we can bag Wright Peak). Second day bag Devil’s tongue and back to Vancouver (long day).

The plan is to establish a base camp in the Anderson River peaks area (see google map) on thursday Sept 1st. From which day trips can go to a variety of Peak groups. We will hike one of the Grouse trails to the Peak Chalet. From there we go towards Dam mountain, down to Crown pass and up Crown Mountain. The last part to the summit will be a moderate scramble. On the way down we can take the Skyride (CAD 10), or walk.

Leave Vancouver at 5:00AM. Meet at the Tomyhoi Peak trailhead at 7:00AM.

Day 1…..From Cypress bowl 4 hour easy hike to Camp at Tarn below Unnecessary Mtn set up camp & depart for scramble on East Lion (3 – 4 hours return) Day 2…..3 hour scramble to West Lion & back to camp…..4 hour hike out Cypress bowl.
