Description
Exploratory attempt to climb Gendarme 2331m and Trooper 2326m Peaks via Conflict Lk trail and their east ridges. Approx 1600m gain, and 23k. Rugged travel with thick bush, creek crossings, scrambling, glacial terrain, and possibly some glacier travel. Hazards include rockfall, lots of loose scree, and sand on cement like glacial moraine and polished rocks. Required gear is: ice axe, crampons, headlight, and enough clothes to survive a night out (in case of an accident).
