Description

Somewhat last minute, but:

This is a challenging scramble in the Coquihalla Summit area, with somewhat challenging route finding in some sections.  Will be expecting to do two rappels (coming off Markhor, and into the Markhor/Needle col).

You must know how to rappel for this trip.

Required Gear:

  • Helmet
  • Harness/Belay Device/Sling/Prussic Cord
  • Headlamp (just in case)

Hazards

This trip is a challenging scramble in remote terrain, and has the normal associated hazards.  These include, but are not limited to:

  • Rockfall (natural and human caused)
  • Slips and falls on rock
  • Climbing gear failure
  • Anchor failure
  • Loss of control of a rappel
  • Delayed rescue in case of a medical emergency or accident
