After-work (hopefully sunset) Brockton Point lap… Gotta do it before it all melts!!

This event is intended as a social/uphill ski evening open to all.

The plan is typically to go up to Brockton Point, maybe have a bit of a snack/drinks at the top if conditions allow and we’re lucky enough to get one of these west coast sunsets, and ski down on the runs.

Looks like we should have some nice weather coming up next week, but it’s the north shore so be ready for icy/wet/conditions-that-make-you-wonder-why-you’re-out-there.

Participants with little to no experience with backcountry skiing are welcome. Please know your gear and how to use it. I haven’t followed the conditions closely up there and the rain may be washing out too much for them to maintain the runs by next week, so no idea what the skiing will be like in the resort (estimated closing date of the resort is April 13).

Please bring appropriate layers, a good headlamp (we may ski down after sunset), and all the gear you’ll need for skiing.

~4-5 km / 250-270 m elev / Typ 1-1h30 round trip (or more depending on how pleasant it is to chill up there)

Note that if it’s absolutely miserable conditions (heavy rain), I will cancel.

Meet at 6pm at the trailhead. We can try to carpool.
