Join us for our Annual General Meeting and Monthly Social on Tuesday, November 26, at the Floral Hall at VanDusen Botanical Garden (37th Avenue at Oak Street).

 

The doors open at 6pm for socializing and the meeting starts at 7pm

Please come and bring a friend! Members and non-members are welcome! (REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED AND WILL BE CHECKED UPON ARRIVAL. PLEASE LET THE EVENT COORDINATOR KNOW IF ANY ISSUES WITH REGISTERING)

Here’s what’s happening!!

Popcorn, cinnamon buns and Beverages: Enjoy popcorn and your choice of beverage (tea/ soda) while socializing and listening to the presentations.

Annual Reports from the Executive: Come find out what the executive has been doing this year on behalf of members. There will be a summary of events and activities, plus the annual financial report.

Thomas Bissig- “Exploring nearby mountains on skis: negotiating trees, cement and powder beyond Mount Hollyburn and Paul’s ridge”

Russ Fretenburg- “An Outstanding Day on the Neve – A one day ski traverse of the Garibaldi Neve with exit down the Barrier. Photos and report on an ACC trip from March 2023”

Display booths by our industry partners: North Shore Rescue, Lions Bay Search and Rescue and Valhalla Pure Outfitters!

Door Prizes: There will be several door prizes – winners picked via raffle tickets. Prizes include  BANFF Mountain Film Festival tickets as well as gear from well-known industry retailers!

Volunteer Draw Prizes: As a small way to say “thanks”, we’ll be giving away draw prizes to this year’s wonderful volunteers. This includes trip organizers, course instructors, mentors, and slideshow presenters. NOTE: Volunteers must be present at the meeting to receive a prize, so please attend in person.
