Description

ACC Vancouver AST

AST 1 – Avalanche Skills Training Level 1:

This year we have teamed up with BlackSheep
Adventure Sports
to offer discounted AST 1
training to members.
Their avalanche safety
instructors are all ACMG
certified guides
as well as
members of the Canadian Avalanche
Association
.

This means that they’re not limited in the
types of terrain they can access for the course
and their extensive personal experience in
winter guiding, avalanche operations and
forecasting will add an extra dimension to your
training.
Even better, the course includes 2
full
days in the field instead of the much
more common single day. This will allow more time
to learn and get confident traveling
around in avalanche terrain.

Leaders: Monte Johnson, Todd Powell, Rob
Janousek, Anna Milino
