The availablity of digital map data, satellite imagery and other information on the Internet has made it much more practical for individuals to make maps for their outdoor adventures. This will be an informal evening workshop to share tips and techniques of map making, from downloading digital maps to preparing custom maps and routes, and loading them into GPS devices. We will have wireless Internet access so bring along your laptop computer, GPS device if you have one, and ideas to share.
