The Spetch Creek Forest Service Road has reportedly been fixed and driveable now (4WD HC) to near the trailhead. Plan is to drive and hike in Saturday, camp at lovely Valentine Lake. Sunday we will climb Saxifrage and Cassiope, both moderate scrambles in Matt Gunn’s book.

If the weather forecast for Sunday isn’t good, this trip will be postponed until the following weekend.

Note that this is a joint trip with the BCMC, so waivers for both clubs will need to be signed and the iCal sign up list may not show everyone who’s registered for the trip.

– What is your recent scrambling experience?
– Do you have an HC 4WD vehicle that you can bring? If so, how many passengers can you take?
– Do you want to share a tent and/or stove with someone?
– What area of town do you live in (for arranging carpools)?
