Description

Battleship Lakes is a chain of lakes in the
mountains south of Duffey Lake road and west of
the Stein valley. It is a 10k hike in and sits
between Meadow Dome and Meditation Mountain, as
well as offering easy direct ascent of Priory
peaks and Bellavista ridge, and several other
unnamed summits.

The plan is to drive out on Fri and ski in,
camp for two nights and explore the many
summits and ski lines in this less-visited but
still quite accessible area. The access is
mainly on logging roads, with a section
of steep climb and descent of old growth
forrest and possibly some alder on the
overgrown roads but this should be mostly under
snow. This is not a beginner trip as requires
good fitness, experience with snow camping, and
a sense of adventure and exploration.
